VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - Thursday, Friday & Saturday, July 26, 27 & 28, 6:00pm - 8:30pm each evening. Shiloh Lutheran & Christian Community Fellowship Church will be partnering with us again this year. Classes for PreK - 5th Grade & Adults.
Mt. Pisgah Food Pantry is in need of dry or canned beans, jelly and any easy to prepare children's foods. We were told tat they can always use personal hygiene/cleaning items such as soaps, washing detergents, toilet tissue, toothpaste. Put any donated items in the box outside the sanctuary and Judy Jones will make sure they get taken to Mt. Pisgah. Thanks for your support!
If your Sunday School class has extra literature that is not being used please let the church office know so that we can cut back on our Cokesbury order. Thanks!
We have been contacted by a Lenoir Rhyne College student that has received a scholarship called the "Golden Leaf" which is giving he an internship at Alexander County Hospice and Home Care for the summer. As part of her scholarship she is sponsoring a community fundraiser collecting the following items for Hospice: Sheets (x-long twin sheets for hospital beds), pill boxes, mattress pads, hand sanitizers, Kleenex, Wipes (prefer adult wipes but will accept baby wipes), and Adult Diapers, Pads, or briefs. Thanks for your support!
NEW LIFE THRIFT STORE
“Faith, Hope, Love in Action”
Wow, what an amazing first month we have had in our mission store! So many hands and hearts have come together to bring this mission to LIFE! Our store is packed, our sorting room is busting it’s buttons and our mission is well on it’s way to making a huge impact in our community. As with all legacies, continued support is vital. If you haven’t already indicated a desire to volunteer in the store or the sorting room, please let us know. Tammy Beard and the sorting room crew need volunteers on Mondays from 9 am – until. If we have enough volunteers for the store, we can possibly expand our hours. Time, talent and materials are urgently needed to build 2 wooden shelf units so we can maximize our space and showcase our housewares and children’s items more attractively. We also need a swag style plug in light fixture for better lighting in our children’s section. Please call me if you can help in any of our areas of need. God bless you for your continued support and prayers! Holly Campbell, Mt. Bethel UMW, 252-422-2900
Bethlehem Day is September 15th and will be held here at Mt. Bethel. The BCDA is going to give all the members of the church that would like a vendor space a spot for free! This includes Sunday School Classes, youth, individuals, etc. Also, remember our vendor spots are Crafts, direct sales companies (these are first come) and food - no yard sale items, please. If you are interested, please fill out the vendor application (located in the vestibule) and place in Donna Reid's mailbox here at the church. She MUST have the application filled out to secre your spot since all vendor spots are pre-planned.
